In Reception we follow the EYFS curriculum. In each area of learning, the children will be learning to;
Personal, Social and Emotional Deveoplement (PSE)
- dress and undress independently in our PE lessons
- follow the school rules
Communication, Language and Literacy (CLL)
- write their name from memory, forming the letters correctly
- use phonic knowledge to read simple words
Physical Development (PD)
- move safely and travel using a variety of movements
-move with control and co-ordination in our dance lessons
Knowledge and Understanding of the World (KUW)
- investigate new and old toys
- program electronic toys to support learning
Creative Development (CD)
-investigate toys through imaginative play in our 'toy shop'
- explore celebrations through artistic work
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy (PSRN)
- know 1 more/less than up to 10 and solve additional problems
- recognise and create simple patterns
