Starting school is probably the most important event in your child's life so far. You will have had many beautiful moments to savour and you will, most likely, shed a tear or two over the first few days..... It is quite true that some parents, and a few children, have understandable reservations about school life but, whatever your reservations are, do remember that home and school are a partnership and that with your child, we are growing and learning together. It is most important to see your child as an individual, and as our most precious possession.
Whatever his/her strengths and weaknesses, it is important that you - as the child's first teacher - accept them and that they know this. This will give him/her the best possible start in life.
